Great a far left moon bat who accuses every Conservative white person as being a racist. He is just as racist as the people he lambasts against

Pitts is one of the most perceptive and eloquent writers around. His Herald columns are must-reads for anyone who values intelligent and perceptive analysis of some of the key issues facing us today. We're fortunate to have him in the C.O. Op-Ed rotation.

His column yesterday, published in the Observer, is one of those gems that cuts right to the heart of what's ailing our democracy these days. The first poster on this comment section illustrates that problem with crystal clarity.

If these rabid right-wingers would read his columns and take the time to think about what he's saying instead of immediately resorting to hysterical defamation and hate-filled ranting, we've have a much more rational, thoughtful and effective podium on which to discuss the issues that divide us today.

But since he's viewed as a hated liberal, it's open season to defame him personally in the most hateful, irrational, hysterical way their closed little minds can manage. I'm glad there are guys like Leonard Pitts waging the good fight. We could use more like him.

Typical Liberal response,"you conservatives aren't intelligent enough to get his ideas" I read Pitts column this week, to sum it up the reason for the denigration of the political discourse of the past 10-15 years is solely Republicans fault. He blamed Republicans for the credit downgrade. We can't keep tacking on debt at some point you have to say enough is enough. Republicans realize that, so either raise taxes on everyone or make some cuts.

Pitts is far from the most eloquent writers, but he is slightly better than Paul Krugman and Maureen Dowd.
