Win a copy of Kim Harrison's new fantasy, "Pale Demon"

If you're a fan of urban fantasy, I've got a book giveaway you'll love.

Win a copy of "Pale Demon," the newest tale of dark magic and supernatural adventure from bestselling author Kim Harrison.

Post a comment on this blog with your name or some way to identify you -- not just "anonymous."

Then, make sure to check back on Tuesday, Feb. 22, when I'll randomly select a winner.

Harrison, who lived until recently in Rock Hill, has now relocated to Michigan. Read more about her in my latest column, in Sunday's Observer.

This would be a great book to add to my "Read 50 books in a year" challenge that I currently have going on. You can see my challenge on my Facebook page under the notes section on my page!! Find me on Facebook by using my email which is karenjeanjellybean@yahoo.com!! The best part is that after I read a book I pass it on to encourage others to read more!! Love books and I would love to win this one!

I have always been allured by darker fantasy fiction. What initially brought me to Kim Harrison's works was her use of altered Spagetti Western film titles for her books. This let me know from the start I could connect with the author (myself being a fan of that genre). Her tales of Racheal Morgan's exploits in the Hollows are captivating. The characters as well as the environment they exist in, live and breathe in my mind as I allow myself to be taken into this magically world Kim has created. I would love to add this book to my collection. E-mail address chainsawo53@aol.com

I hear this book is lighter than previous ones, with Rachel finding her way back to a happier place than she's been. Looking forward to the road trip!

I've been a Kim Harrison fan for years! She was so nice when I met her at a book signing in Rock Hill. I'm sorry to hear she's moved away from the area but can't wait to read Rachel Morgan's latest adventure!

This looks like a good book. I haven't read any of Kim Harrison's books yet, but I've read some positive reviews on her books. This looks like a good one.
Sorry to see her leave NC, but she's moving to a great city - Ann Arbor, where I went to school.

Although my youngest son is a fan of vampires, I have never read this type of book. At 77 years young, I would love to start with this book.

I've been dying to read this one. I love the Hollows series!

I would enjoy an opportunity to read her new book, without seeking it out, and getting in the list to check it out at the library. She sounds like an interesting author, with some unusual stories to tell. Thanks for all the book recommendations; I often use them to help me select books to check out from the library. And i enjoy all of them that i select that way. That shouldn't surprise me, but it's amazing to me that you can select such good books; some i've never heard of. Humbling, and I appreciate your time and recommendations.
